It appears I’m not ready to start blogging about life and death and politics, but in cleaning my office I did find a poem, apropos absolutely nada, that I wrote some time ago …
So offering a bit of blather after all this time:
Suzi Got Her UziShe rode bareback
cross the plains, she did
Brown braids
cracking, snapping
a cat-o-2-tailsStraight-backed, perfect
toes up, heels downAnd she could sing
she could sing
Strong and loud
canyon wall echos
weak reflections of
the voice
the voicePut on a show, she could
all the fanfare
with costumes and changes
Handstands on broad backs
The world moves while
the horse stands stillShe rode bareback
cross the plains, she did
Hits the bull’s eye
at fifty paces and 20 MPH
She hit it once
one thousand times
one thousand times
a very good start.
Thanks again Sandra, to enlight my dark days again …welcome back !!!
I am so happy to see you back. Take baby steps.
That’s pretty good for nothing to say ’cause it says it all!!!
Good to see you back. I’m missing your writings. Like this one very much. One step at a time.
Sandra, so glad to see you slowly opening up to this realm again. It was wonderful seeing you, albeit so hastily.
The poem you posted is wonderful. Whimsical yet very elegant.
Thanks for posting and cannot wait to hear more of your musings.
Lots of love,
Diane
