Life has once more come between me and my personal blog. Not only have I been dealing with some unpleasant work issues and sick kids, I’m putting the finishing touches … I hope … on a collection of short stories and other bits that have been begging to be included between the front cover and back page.
Of course, I’ll be flogging the book here when its available … no worries about that.
Since I’m using up all my meaningful words in other places at the moment, I thought I would post some pictures (worth thousands of them, I hear) of our Bird Island trip for general consumption.
De plane … de plane …
That’s no rock on the runway! (Yes, that is the runway.) It’s a Giant Aldabra Tortoise.
Up close and personal with the runway tortoise.
No footprints, please. (Sam with a bush on the beach.)
What a beautiful beach! I can hear the waves now.
Looks like a fun trip 🙂
I LOVE the view of the ocean. Oh, I want a vacation!!

Come on over, both of you! The guest house is empty and ready for immediate occupation by people I like.
Pictures are fine 😉
A short “Hi” from a FlyBy fellow NaBloPoMo 😀
I’m flattered that you find my photos ‘fine’, Nicole, even though I cut off my husband’s head trying to follow that tortoise! I do like the shot of my son on the beach, though. I’ve started checking out your work and am most impressed.
I’m a bit lost today here – need more time, sigh (and that even though I’m not working 😉
Tomorrow hubby’s workign again, but I will head to a Red Bull “Flugtag” – and airshow where people will fly in their self built “planes” (over water, so it doesn’t hurt so much when they come down 😉 )
Saturday hubby has another day off – yeah – and Sunday a normal week starts again where I can finally check out more things & more of your posts and pictures 🙂
Hi..
When I worked in Seychelles, I visited the Bird Island for a holiday time. Its such a wonderful beach and its 100% virgin.
The beaches are excellent and the sooty birds nest watching in one side of the island can never ever forget.
Keep on writing.
